Delivery/Porter Position

Position tasks will be some of the following:

  • Dishwashing
  • Cleaning
  • Delivery of meals (Hudson Valley and to Northern NJ)
  • Pick up groceries

Qualifications:

  • Have own transport (will use for deliveries)

$11 to 14 p/h

Sous Chef/Personal Chef

As Sous Chef, you will work side by side in our commercial kitchen, preparing the week’s meals for our delivery service. Menus vary week to week, but will always consist of prepping ingredients, preparing all salads, soups, side dishes as well as individual main meals which are custom. You will be responsible for rotation of food in storage as well as keeping lists of when to replace them and plan weekly lunch menus for the cafe window.

Our Service is currently delivery only due to COVID – but inquiries of in-home service are starting to begin again . . . .

As a personal chef, you work solo inside the client’s home. You are a complete kitchen on wheels, taking on all tasks needed to produce nourishing meals for our clients. You will receive the menu, labels and any pertinent paperwork necessary for the job. From these, you will write up a grocery list, do the shopping, load in, prepare the menu, label all meals and store them in the fridge. Clean very well and load out.

Currently, Work offered is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays

Our commercial Kitchen is in Washingtonville, NY. Personal Chef jobs may be within a 45 minute commute from our kitchen, depending on client.

The right fit:  Efficient and clean when working. Even in the commercial kitchen.

  • Respectful of client’s property when cooking in client’s homes- – these are not commercial kitchens!!
    Able to receive and print electronic documentation pertinent to jobs.
  • Organized and creative with ingredients on hand.
  • Self motivated and Punctual.
  • An independent thinker and problem solver.
  • Adaptable to training – learning and upholding the ethics of the company.
  • Have own transport
  • Knowledge in alternative and standard nutrition
  • Culinary degree is helpful, but not necessary
  • Professional grocery shopping experience also a bonus

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
